- In a microwave-safe mug, mash a ripe banana with a fork until it’s completely smooth.
- Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the mug. Mix until just combined.
- Pour in milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk with a small fork until glossy and smooth.
- Microwave on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds, keeping an eye to prevent overflow.
- Wait a minute for the mug to cool before enjoying. Optionally top with whipped cream or nut butter.

This mug cake is best made fresh, but ingredients can be pre-measured for quick assembly.
