  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts preferably organic
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce smoky Kansas City-style recommended
  • 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: Sliced jalapeƱos or red onions

Method
 

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of your crockpot. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder until well blended.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken and return it to the pot, mixing with the remaining sauce.
  6. Serve the BBQ chicken on a platter and garnish with sliced jalapeƱos or red onions if desired.

Notes

Let the chicken marinate in the sauce overnight for enhanced flavors. Using high-quality BBQ sauce makes a difference.
