Ingredients

Group: Ingredients
  • 4 large whole wheat or spinach tortillas
  • 1 lb. deli-sliced turkey breast
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard
  • 1 cup mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup sliced English cucumbers
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced red bell peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Platter

Method

  1. Start by washing and slicing your vegetables. The vivid colors of the red peppers and greens will elevate your mood as you prepare.
  2. Lay out a tortilla on a clean surface. Generously spread honey mustard across the entire surface, letting the aroma of the honey and mustard mingle.
  3. Begin with a layer of mixed salad greens, then add turkey slices, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and red bell peppers. Season with salt and pepper for an extra flavor boost.
  4. Starting from one end, fold the tortilla over the fillings gently but tightly, rolling it until fully enclosed. You want a snug embrace to keep all the flavors inside.
  5. Using a sharp knife, cut the wrap diagonally. Arrange the halves on a platter and enjoy the crunch of the fresh veggies peeking out.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the wraps a few hours in advance and store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Best enjoyed cold; if you prefer them warm, heat in a pan until warmed through.
