  • 4 cups watermelon, diced and seeds removed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar adjust according to sweetness of watermelon
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Start by cutting a ripe watermelon into quarters. Scoop out about 4 cups of the flesh, making sure it is free of seeds.
  2. In a blender, combine the diced watermelon, sugar, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend on high until everything is perfectly smooth.
  3. After blending, taste the mixture and if more sweetness is needed, adjust accordingly.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  6. For a firmer texture, transfer churned sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve your watermelon sorbet in chilled bowls or glasses.
