  • 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seedless
  • 1 lime juice (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1-2 Tbsp. honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 1-2 cups ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

  • Chilled glasses

Method
 

  1. Start with a block of ripe watermelon, cut into small cubes, and chill in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  2. In a high-speed blender, mix the chilled watermelon cubes with lime juice and honey or agave syrup, if desired. Blend until smooth.
  3. Gradually add ice cubes while blending until you achieve the desired slushiness.
  4. Pour the slushie into chilled glasses, garnish with mint leaves, and serve immediately.

Notes

This slushie is best enjoyed fresh, and leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer.
