  • 2 large cucumbers, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups water
  • mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

  • Fine-mesh sieve

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the chopped cucumbers, lime juice, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, discarding the solids. You should be left with a refreshing, pale green liquid.
  3. Stir in the remaining 2 cups of water to dilute the mixture to your desired taste. Adjust the sweetness if necessary.
  4. Serve over ice with a few mint leaves for garnish. Enjoy your homemade cucumber agua fresca!
