  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 lb. fresh sushi-grade fish (ahi tuna or salmon)
  • thinly sliced cucumbers
  • thinly sliced radishes
  • shredded carrots
  • seaweed salad
  • ripe avocado, sliced
  • sesame seeds
  • thinly sliced green onions
  • poke sauce (soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha or wasabi)

Method
 

  1. Rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions.
  2. Dice your sushi-grade fish into bite-sized cubes and marinate with poke sauce.
  3. Thinly slice the cucumbers, radishes, and carrots.
  4. Start with sushi rice in a bowl, layer on the marinated fish, sliced vegetables, and avocado.
  5. Drizzle poke sauce over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Ensure to use sushi-grade fish for safety and allow the fish to marinate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
