  • 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce (gluten-free if necessary)
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds (optional) for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, add gochujang, maple syrup, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Using a whisk, blend the ingredients until smooth.
  3. Fold in the minced garlic and grated ginger.
  4. Taste the sauce for balance and adjust if necessary.
  5. Serve immediately or transfer to a glass jar for storage.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
