Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter 1 stick
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ cups chopped Oreo cookies

  • 9x9 inch baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar until glossy and smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture carefully.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped Oreos.
  8. Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan and pour in the batter.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the center jiggles slightly.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the batter and let the brownies cool before cutting for cleaner slices.
