- Pour the warm water into a large mixing bowl and stir in the honey. Sprinkle the yeast on top, allowing it to sit for about five minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Add in the whole wheat flour and salt, stirring until combined.
- Drizzle in the olive oil and then gradually add the all-purpose flour. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, typically about an hour.
- Punch down the risen dough, shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Allow it to rise for an additional 30-40 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake the bread for 35-40 minutes, or until it sounds hollow when tapped.
- Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
