Ingredients

Group: For the Kabobs
  • 1 lb. sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 yellow onion, cut into wedges
Group: For the Marinade
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Grill
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)
  • Large bowl

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Massage the marinade into the sirloin cubes and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the asparagus, red bell pepper, and yellow onion by tossing them in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes (if using). Thread the marinated steak, asparagus, bell pepper, and onion onto the skewers, alternating for a colorful display.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the kabobs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak reaches your desired doneness and the vegetables are charred but vibrant.
  5. Let the kabobs rest for a few minutes before serving for optimal juiciness.

Notes

Always allow kabobs to rest for a few minutes after grilling to ensure juiciness.
