Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic for about 5 minutes until fragrant. Add ground meat and cook until browned, stirring often.
- Transfer the cooked meat to a mixing bowl. Once cooled slightly, mix in the crumbled feta and beaten eggs until well combined.
- Layer about 5 sheets of phyllo in a cast-iron skillet, brushing each with melted butter. Spread the meat mixture evenly, then top with another 5 layers of phyllo, brushing each again.
- Bake the pie for approximately 45 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make sure to thaw phyllo dough completely. Brush each layer with butter to achieve a flaky texture.
