Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk or more, for desired consistency
Group: Flavor Enhancers
  • 1-2 fresh jalapeños, seeded and roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime juice
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
  • freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped optional

Equipment

  • Airtight container

Method
 

  1. In a food processor, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Pulse until smooth and creamy.
  2. Toss in the jalapeños, minced garlic, lime juice, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend until finely chopped.
  3. Give it a taste test and adjust spice and salt as needed.
  4. Transfer into a jar and let chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Letting the dressing chill enhances the flavor significantly.
