Ingredients

Group: Fresh Herbs
  • 1 cup fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
Group: Other Ingredients
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup pine nuts
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup olive oil

Equipment

  • Food processor

Method

  1. Start by rinsing the fresh parsley and basil. Dry them thoroughly—this step is crucial for a smooth sauce.
  2. In a food processor, toss in the parsley, basil, garlic, pine nuts, salt, and black pepper. Pulse a few times until you’ve got a beautifully vibrant green mixture.
  3. Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice, which brightens everything up.
  4. With the food processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil until the mixture is emulsified and well blended.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Transfer your sauce to a small bowl.
  6. Serve with grilled chicken, drizzled over roasted vegetables, or as dressing for salads.

Notes

This sauce is incredibly versatile—not just for drizzling but as a marinade, too.
